This is a sturdy, well tailored jacket that keeps my pup warm; I use this when the temperature drops below forty. I haven't tried the windbreak side, which is a smooth, soft nylon material (yellow-yellow for this combo). ok, although probably not for showering. Both sides have separate diamond stitching (intermediate layer of padding) which seems to prevent rips, of course they don't rip completely with this design and likely protect the dog from being cut by barbed wire. or with a sharp brush. High quality zippers, doubled (two so you can close in either direction) to accommodate the top loop of the harness. The zippers have a nylon tab that protects them from water and dirt. It is easy to put on, has wide leg openings and two side Velcro fasteners with elastic material on the bottom so that you can fix them well. It also has a velcro in the front which I want to make a little wider because I can't push that part well on my small dog so the neck flap sticks out a little. The bottom has a V-neck to allow the male to urinate without getting urine on the jacket, but I think it should be a bit wider. It is possible that in dogs where you can adjust the front neck strap properly, the jacket will be moved forward far enough to get the umbilical opening further out of the way. My little guy is reluctant to pee like he's afraid his jacket will get dirty, but so far it hasn't happened. The material seems easy to clean. My Cockapoo puppy weighs fifteen pounds; Fourteen neck, eighteen girth, fourteen inches long (shoulder to waist) and sixteen inches high. I gave him a remedy that fits very well except for the points mentioned. I really like this jacket; Looks like it's ready for some serious bush/canyoning. I bought him a slightly larger jacket so he could wear his pendant underneath; The design is perfect for that.
