The most complete thermometer for meat

Possibly the best meat thermometer. It has preset temperature settings for beef, lamb, veal, hamburger, pork, turkey, chicken and fish. You can also choose between different cooking levels, e.g. E.g. Rare, Medium, Medium and Well Done. If you do not like these temperatures, you also have the option of choosing your own, individually selected temperature. At this point you can start using the device. The screen has a nice blue backlight so you can see it in low light. As it approaches the target temperature, it turns green and when it reaches it, it turns red. You can also press a button and a voice will tell you what the temperature is. What don't I like about it? First, the probe is very tight to twist out and reinsert. The company tells me this is because it needs to be rigid to make the probe waterproof. Why does the probe have to be so waterproof? Apparently you can boil the probe for a few minutes to sterilize it. Why do you want to do this? I don't see why you would want to sterilize anything other than a tip inserted into the meat. At the same time, opening and closing is very uncomfortable. Tried silicone spray, didn't help. Another problem is that you cannot calibrate this thermometer. If the thermometer is not calibrated or later loses its accuracy, you cannot recalibrate or correct it. I think with those two additions this probe would be the absolute best ever.
