This is a serious belt for its weight, it's both wide and thick. More than enough thickness to keep it stable and securely in place after threading it through the belt loops. I'm hesitant to unbuckle my pants just for this, but it has its perks. The surface has a slightly matte finish, which I think makes it perfect for jeans.
