Important information before buying and installing

Very good fan. It is well balanced and very quiet. There are a few things you should know before installing. The most important thing to know is that YOU MUST PERFORM A FULL INSTALLATION FOR THE FAN TO WORK! I'm from the old school. I check the wiring to make sure I've got everything right before proceeding to final assembly and "pushing all the buttons". This is NOT POSSIBLE with this fan. The lighting kit MUST BE CONNECTED before the circuit is completed and the fan starts. Although I had a dead receiver when I first finished and sent for a new fan. It was only by accident and desperation that I found out that you MUST CONNECT THE LIGHTING KIT! I'm an idiot for not following the instructions fully. I tell you this to spare you the same problem. The receiver is still defective (someone miswired and shorted it). Other than that and the issue of mounting and aligning the fan blades for installation, everything is fine. Second, DO NOT buy multi-colored Phillips bulbs. to work with it and Alexa. I can only assume that the problem has something to do with the heating not working with the remote control; Dimmer that comes with the fan. After installing the light bulbs, they immediately began to flash. The Phillips Hue app doesn't see them either. Complete disappointment. You can use standard Phillips Smart A19 white bulbs which work great. Completely insane problem and trying to contact Phillips is a caning. No help from them on flashing. I installed the bulbs in a standard fixture: they work, so I have to assume the problem is the bulbs' ability to work with a fan. That's it. Good fan. Calm. Pain in croup to be planted but solid when all is done. Feel free to ask any questions. My pain is your gain! :)
