My daughter is homeschooled like many children and is often in different places around the house, sometimes she balances her laptop on one or the other and we decided she needed something better to work with , but still very portable and compact. This little mini table is perfect for that purpose! I've also used it quite a bit and have come up with a few uses for it. I've used my laptop and tablet from the bed, sofa, floor, etc. It's great for supporting everything and keeping everything off the bed to keep everything cool and I hate it when my keyboard moves when I'm trying to type so it keeps everything in place. And believe it or not, it fits my office chair PERFECTLY and I can sit back and use my laptop comfortably. I tried it on a whim and have made it several times since! I also tried it as a stand up desk stand by mounting it on my existing desk and placing my main keyboard on it. It works great except the monitors are too low for this type of use. But it's an option, it's strong enough, quite adjustable etc. I use the MX Ergo which means I don't need much space for my mouse at all. My 14 inch laptop works perfectly with it. However, if you are using a regular mouse, your space may be a bit tight if you have 14, especially 15. I think 12 or 13 would be enough space. Either way, you can get it working, there just isn't much room to scatter the mouse around. Just a few notes on that. Very wide (11 inches) so you don't even hobble on the bed, couch, etc. The feet are also very perpendicular to each other, so there is no annoying wobbling or the like on the flat hard floor. I wish the feet were rubber rather than hard plastic, but that shows I've never used them in a situation where this was a real problem. The angle and height are fairly adjustable and I never felt the need to adjust it more or less. It has the right amount of detail and the leg fold and lift mechanism is very solid and locks into place, so I don't think you can accidentally roll it in any direction. The legs fold down the sides toward the center for storage, but are slightly tilted and have a fairly strong folding resistance. Again, I don't see this stacking up either way in normal use. One of the pictures I've added shows how far the legs are thrown back and how high they get. I still haven't found the position I'm in where the table doesn't fit. There are a few minor flaws to watch out for. The lip that prevents the laptop from sliding off is quite high and made of hard plastic. It's larger than most laptops and it's not very comfortable when your hands are resting on it. My arms were generally at the sides though, so it doesn't matter, and it detaches so you can put it on only when needed when it gets in the way. The fan grille must be sunk. so that its top is level with the rest of the table; Many laptops have very short legs, and if your laptop is standing on them instead of on its own legs, it won't be very stable and will be able to move. However, we have 3 laptops in the house and all 3 stand on their own feet and are mounted very securely on the table. I've only used the fan once and it was very quiet although it didn't seem to be moving much air. . However, sometimes it doesn't take a lot of air to dissipate heat from under a laptop. I also have a few suggestions for the table maker. I have already mentioned one; Rubber feet would be nice. Another option is to route the USB cable under the table and secure it in case you don't need it. You can run a cord around the grill, but it won't really stay in place. Some small clips work here. And maybe consider a shorter or more rubbery piece for the lip that holds the laptop in place. I like that it can be removed but I feel like if it were shorter and a little softer it would never get in the way.
