Cheap scrap in water pumps

Scrap. Adjusting the flow doesn't do anything flashy, and at this point I think any notion that this can be adjusted is entirely fantasy. It looks like a diesel generator. It will definitely move water, but after 45 days there will be practically no flow on this thing. Should have been exchanged. This was a temporary measure to keep my swamp charge from interfering with my display, but I didn't expect to be replacing it any time soon. For context, I have 2 feet of stroke from the sump on a 3/4" return line. It must be extremely manageable for what this pump is "designed" for. I'm buying a return of reef octopus as I type this. You are paying for this hobby and the bacterial build up in my tank due to poor filtration and circulation is making me very angry right now.The only thing keeping my tank from crashing is a 15% daily water change.Lesson learned. No more cheap china crap in mine Aquarium, not even for a temporary measure. I'm writing this so others don't make the same mistake. Happy reefing!
