Review on πŸš™ Enhanced Jeep Jack Protector: Hi-Lift JP-350 Model by Seth Bushey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It just meant it was better than any previous vinyl version the 1 star people got

I must have misread the description on here. When I saw "New and Improved" I assumed it worked really well for what I needed. It just meant it was better than any previous vinyl release the 1 star people got. It's definitely a decent screen - I wouldn't call it HEAVY but that's ok. Thing is, when I saw the "jack guard" I assumed it was a cover, like other similar gauges, like my winches"guard" etc. Actually no - it is a tote bag. This is probably ideal if you typically store your jack in the garage/shed and need to carry it around. But it doesn't have holes or slots to cover the socket on the mount and it's not waterproof so I wouldn't leave it out for long. If anything, it simply keeps the moisture on the socket and prevents it from drying out as quickly as it normally would. Since I misread the list, I ignored that detail for this ranking. But I'm still only giving it 3 stars because it's still not great as a dust cover. There is a "storage bag" that is too small for anything really useful to be used with such a jack (accessory). The canvas is better than any vinyl they've used before, but still not heavy enough - I can guarantee I'll be tearing it apart in a year or two. There's no waterproofing, the zip isn't as strong as it should be when holding such a heavy object, and the way it covers the jack's leg makes it less stable when stored. I'll probably keep it, but I doubt it will see everyday use.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some imperfections
