I had a heel pain/plantar fasciitis problem for several months and it didn't get any better. Decided to order this along with a few other similar products and found this to be the best. It's the right hardness and size and the raised points aren't too prickly and painful like I've found with other items. It's the only thing I could feel as I reached deep enough into the source of the pain in my heel; Even when I tried massaging my heel with my hands, I couldn't immediately get the results I was feeling with it. I have almost no heel pain when walking and I only had it one night! Highly recommended. Oh, and I don't smell the chemical smell that others have reported, but I washed it off with soap and water right away, so maybe that helped.
