I use this for my Dell Latitude 5480 laptop. When I first turned it on with the charger connected I got an error message saying the device needed a 65w adapter not a 60w -Adapter. I haven't checked compatibility with my machine, so I'll admit it's my fault. I went ahead and continued booting the machine to see what would happen. In fact, it charges the laptop very well. However, it gets very hot! It's not too hot to touch, but hot enough to bother me. I assume the circuit is designed to limit the maximum output power and prevent complete overheating, but time will tell. Let's hope the circuit prevents overheating and doesn't start smoking/burning. I'm curious how long this will last.
