Overview Important Information Installation Instructions

Overall this is a great product and I recommend it from the stock chain adjuster that came with your bike. I wish the spring had more tension and the screws/bolts weren't aluminum because I had a latch on me. Also for engines with higher cubic capacity. cm or torque make sure your chain is taut before fitting because if you engage the clutch even slowly at high speeds the bottom of the chain will pull the idler gear all the way and if the chain isn't taut enough it will go up chain slack and jam your chain in the housing causing your tires to go into a dead end or if you're lucky break your chain, either way it's unsafe or fun. The installation process is very simple, even if it doesn't have any instructions, it is as follows: Step 1. It's very simple. I found it easier to connect one side of the spring to the curved side of the mounting plate where the 2 small holes are (the top hole has more tension than the bottom hole). Step 2. From the 5 screws/bolts, 2 locknuts and 2 washers that come with the tensioner. Use ONLY a small screw/bolt and locknut to attach the tension arm to the mounting plate. Similar screws/bolts to attach the tension plate over the case cover and tighten with new screws. Tensioner Arm (IMPORTANT ENSURE THAT THE TENSIONER WHEEL HAS A WASHER ON BOTH SIDES) Step 4. Connect the spring from the tensioner plate to the tensioner arm.
