avoid it for chain and sprocket kits

Is this an upgrade from cheap moped kits? Of course. Did my arm bend while riding the moped, causing the chain to get caught in the motor and throwing me through the air? Also yes. My chain tension was also perfect, but after that I can't trust this tensioner anymore. Maybe it was my fault, but the fact that the little black handle holding the wheel bends easily is a good reason for me not to recommend it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Long delivery time

There was an improvement.

I would buy it again for the system I have but it's not a very good design. The pulley and bearing look good, but they don't turn with the chain. It rubs and completely defeats the purpose of having a camp. Still, it does its job of holding chain tension fairly well. Since the pulley doesn't rotate, it will likely wear out a little faster, but it's still an improvement over the stock pulley.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Has flaws

The chain fits perfectly and is constantly tensioned excellent

good kit. The pulley is wider than the original. After installation, touch the tire and motor mount. I put the pulley in the other hole and bent the arm slightly, I just need an extra inch of clearance. It turned out beautifully and is still on hold. Much better than factory. The chain guard also runs through the entire assembly. It won't fit unless you reformat it. So I did. I used pliers, a hammer, and a bench vise. it came out perfect. After everything was assembled, I drove a few…

Good idea, bad execution

Easy to assemble but rather thin and flimsy, can be bent by hand. The chain doesn't seem to provide enough tension so I drilled additional holes over the pre-drilled spring holes to give the chain a little more tension. I rode this tensioner about 100 miles and had to adjust it every other ride. The bearings are better than regular cheap white and yellow roller bearings. On the pivot bolt, the included lock nut comes loose after only 30 miles of easy riding, replace it with a nylon nut, also…

Overview Important Information Installation Instructions

Overall this is a great product and I recommend it from the stock chain adjuster that came with your bike. I wish the spring had more tension and the screws/bolts weren't aluminum because I had a latch on me. Also for engines with higher cubic capacity. cm or torque make sure your chain is taut before fitting because if you engage the clutch even slowly at high speeds the bottom of the chain will pull the idler gear all the way and if the chain isn't taut enough it will go up chain slack and…
