Review on πŸš€ Enhance Your Motorized Bike's Performance with Sthus Black Spring Loaded Chain Tensioner for 49cc 66cc 80cc Engine: Optimal for 2 Stroke Engine Riding by John Thawngzauk

Good idea, bad execution

Easy to assemble but rather thin and flimsy, can be bent by hand. The chain doesn't seem to provide enough tension so I drilled additional holes over the pre-drilled spring holes to give the chain a little more tension. I rode this tensioner about 100 miles and had to adjust it every other ride. The bearings are better than regular cheap white and yellow roller bearings. On the pivot bolt, the included lock nut comes loose after only 30 miles of easy riding, replace it with a nylon nut, also there should be a bearing on the pivot to keep the tensioner arm from play. But due to the thin metal used and other things I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Functionality
