Bright light with no mounting design

As much as I love the Bontrager Flare RT taillights I've had in the past (ie, bright light, Garmin GPS connectivity, and the ability to look at an angle up or down depending on the angle of the seat tube), they can usually no longer be charged after 6 months to 2 years. But at around $60 a bulb, I'm tired of having to change bulbs so often, especially when there are other options. I decided to give this Apace Guard G3X PRO100 lamp a try because not only is it slightly brighter, but it's also about 1/3 the price of a Bontrager Flare RT. I was impressed that it actually lasted 17 hours in daybright flashing mode instead of the advertised 15 hours, and just over an hour in slow flash mode when the battery was low instead of the advertised 30 minutes. That's where the Pro ends, like the Con, it doesn't connect to Garmin's GPS, and when mounted to a stock seatpost (which is tilted back), the light actually points to the ground. To compensate for this flaw in the mount design, I removed the Bontrager light from the mounting strap and placed the Bontrager mount under the Apace light to act as a wedge and straighten the light so the cars behind me could see it better. Time will tell how many times I can charge it before it dies too. I'm also concerned about the durability of the thin rubber O-ring used to secure the bracket to the seat tube in the hot Florida sun. I will most likely tie the light to the seat tube with string to ensure I don't come back from a ride only to find the o-ring has cracked from the heat causing the light to fall off the bike somewhere. on my journey.
