Review on Moog K7041 Idler Arm by Choice Maynard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Shocks, struts and suspension unimpressed

It'll probably be good, but this part definitely didn't impress me. The part comes with two grease nipples. Obviously it would take too long to install the grease fittings at the factory so they throw them in the parts bag so they can do it for you. I agree, except that they obviously didn't bother to thread the intermediate lever body properly, so I had to fiddle around for 5-10 minutes trying to screw the fittings in directly (an action that should have taken all the effort ). . about 15 seconds if they cut the holes correctly). Second, the part does not come with a dust cover (which should be placed between the intermediate arm and the center link to keep debris out of the part). Instead, they just supply an additional foam ring that replaces the dust cover. I'm not a vehicle suspension engineer so maybe that's fine, but it certainly doesn't match most of the factory and aftermarket steering I've seen.

Pros
  • Package Weight: 2.47 lbs
Cons
  • Doubtful
