Wanted to buy a quick change holder for my mini lathe. I was thinking between BXA and OXA. Went with the OXA because it came with a 3/8 boring bar holder while the BXA had a 5/8 boring bar holder and no less. Works great with a 1/2 tool holder, although I didn't like that the tool holder screws used a 3mm hex so I replaced them with a 5mm hex instead; The bolts are M6 bolts and you should be able to get them at your hardware store or other hardware store. It is also important that the supplied double-threaded bolt fits directly into the composite slide holder. I recommend drilling a 3/16 hole and tightening it with an ice pick on the composite slide rather than using locking pliers to avoid damaging the metal. was. (Note: the hole was filled in by welding and then cleaned and a 3/8 hole drilled so I could ream it to size.) I'll end up making a new base plate as I want the holder to sit on top of it on the multi-piece caliper and not on the shim, as the cutting tool holder must go lower than the shim to cut through center. I'll try to add more pictures when I make the new base plate to show what I mean.
