Best Kept Secret.: Peeler

I love eating fresh sweetcorn in the middle of winter, so I'm elbow-full of corn every year by this time. Separating the grains from the cob is terribly messy and never easy. I tried different strippers but was looking for a new one (the one recommended on the website) and many were sold out, some were expensive and I heard/read that many would only get about 3/4. kernels from the cob. Because I was in a hurry, I figured I could risk $11 for three (that's how they came). At first I thought I wasted my money. Kind of clumsy and it hurts my hands. Because it had no instructions, I had four ears before realizing that you don't "push" an ear, you "roll" it. After that big lightbulb moment, it took me less than 30 minutes to shell 3 dozen cobs of corn because I had to keep stopping to add the corn to the bowl. Next year I will make it right in the bowl. This little gadget is the best kept secret in the world of canning and freezing! Worth every penny and I highly recommend buying this if you want to process fresh corn. I even took a picture to show how smoothly it works. That was right after I figured out how it works. You will never see a cleaner piston. Great product and so happy I found it!
