I like the look of this camera and it is very easy to use. The joystick pad is nice and easy to use. Overall I like this camera but I wouldn't use it again or recommend it for the following reasons: Firstly, I hate batteries, they never stay charged and if I really need new batteries I can't just go and buy some. But this is very personal, some people have a lot of experience with batteries. Second, when the batteries are low, the whole thing shuts down. It cannot run on battery power for the rest of its lifespan, if it runs out it will not work. So you take a really great shot and it turns off and you turn it on again to see the picture and it's not there. Ooooh annoying! If he had the option to turn off the LCD screen and just use the viewfinder, that would probably help, but wait! no viewfinder. Third, the pressure on the buttons is removed. I really don't even remember what the play button is and what the menu is anymore, I just have to keep pressing the buttons until I hit the right one. Whatever ink or whatever they use it's really bad quality. And finally, don't drop them, don't take them to the beach, don't put water next to them and don't let your kids touch them too often, because every little thing will ruin them. Doesn't work for a few days but thankfully it always comes back when you don't need it.
