Review on Tandy Leather Buckle Antique 1643 21 by Jessica Lewis

I didn't know what a roller buckle was until I got it and wondered why it has an extra metal tube that rattles. I did some research on the internet and found that the pulley allows the strap to roll through the buckle instead of slipping and this reduces wear on the strap itself, especially when you want to tighten it. Turns out this is recommended for gun belts. Not my thing, but whatever. As mentioned in another review the tongue is loose but when I put a strap on it the leather holds it up. I assume this will suit my needs (on a simple leather strap for attaching seafaring gear).
