This scanner comes with minimal instructions. The online manual didn't help as it didn't explain what the programming barcodes actually do so programming the device would be arbitrary. It worked well enough until it was too late to bring it back and then it failed. When going into sleep mode, it stopped turning on. The light came on, but the scanner didn't scan. So it had to be unplugged and plugged back in to reset it. It's not practical if you have to do this for every client. However, when I was contacted by a Tera customer service representative and explained my problem, they offered to replace this unit or send another model, if I prefer. But by that time I had already reached my turning point and ordered another brand. She refunded the device and then verified that I received my refund. I am very glad that Tera's support rep was so responsive and tried so hard to make me happy. Perhaps one of their other models would be a better choice.
