It's just a mouse pad. It's not "thick", it's 3mm, it's not cushioning, it's not "ergonomic" or anything, which is why I chose it over other options. I bought the 'medium', it's better than other mouse pads I've had, good for gaming and other precision tasks. It doesn't have a braided edge, which I prefer over user preference, to be honest. Seems to slip a little, advertised as non-slip. Also, the "smell" that others have been talking about still hasn't gone away, but I suspect other similar products will go away over time, assuming you can always air it out for a while after the initial purchase or something it really bothers you
