Review on SOURCEONE ORG Premium Thick Acrylic Plexiglass: Exceptional Clarity and Durability for Impeccable Results by David Dober

Very soft, low melting acrylic

I've done a lot of CNC engraving on acrylic sheets. I had to do a test run on inexpensive plates before engraving the image on 1/4" acrylic plates that I bought from another company and used with great results. The test run was at 15 ipm and 30,000 rpm, which I did always do when I engrave acrylic. I found this sheet at Revain and then saw the Revain banner I bought in 2017 (thanks Revain!) so I looked through my stack of sheets and found it! Unfortunately it melted on one Test run on each pass I gave it 3 stars because if you use it to make a clear window it will serve you well Another pattern I have engraved on good quality acrylic where you can see that he did a clean job. Both jobs were done at the same speed and feed with the same ball head.

Pros
  • ✅ PROFESSIONAL QUALITY. 1/8 thick acrylic is the best choice if safety and ease of use are important to you. It is stronger and stiffer than glass, lightweight and easy to shape or fabricate. Acrylic has a higher impact resistance than glass, but still has similar toughness. The light weight of acrylic is another great advantage. You can use an acrylic sheet that is twice as thick but weighs about half the weight of a regular glass sheet.
Cons
  • A few little things
