I bought one of these shale plaid style shirts a few months ago and was pleased with the overall quality so I recently bought one Decided to get another one in cedar wood plaid style. From the label I noticed that the cedar plaid shirt is made in India and the shale plaid shirt is made in China. After a wash/dry cycle, following the label directions, I found that the cedar tartan pilled a lot more than the plaid shirt after several washes. Another thing I noticed is that the back seams used to reinforce the top corners of the Cedarwood Plaid shirt's shirt pocket were made from small pieces of fabric that were already unraveling. It just seemed like a very dirty and low quality way to do it. The same stitching on the back of the Shale Plaid shirt has been made much cleaner and looks more durable. A shirt made in China appears to be of much higher quality than a shirt made in India. I don't know if that will be the case for all shirts in this line. I ended up buying a lint remover to get rid of the lint on a new shirt and had to empty the collection tray twice. It now looks decent after ironing, but it took more time, effort, and extra expense than it should for a $30 shirt, in my opinion. I think Legendary Whitetails should be more careful with their quality control.
