Review on Barker MFG Co. 1214.1008 26835 Tote-Along Bobber Gauge with Full Tank Indicator by Aravind Joshi

I bought this as a recommendation from Revain that people who bought the Barker Mobile Wastewater Tank also bought this sensor that came with it. However, the tank was already fitted with this sensor (this was not stated in the description of the tank), so I returned it. However the pressure gauge that came with the tank was exactly the same as this one so I can safely verify: my feedback would be that the pressure gauge is a very simple foam float suspended in clear plastic. a tube. It floats up the tube when the water level rises in the tank to which it is attached. It works great and helps ensure you don't overfill the tank. A few caveats about this are that the hole in the tanks it attaches to is also the only vent in the tank, so screwing it down will cause the tank to force air back out of the filler hole. , that's not what you want. At the suggestion of another reviewer, I loosened the gauge just enough to bleed air around it and everything worked fine. Also, it is recommended to remove the pressure gauge when transporting the tank and I think it would be a good idea to prevent water from entering the pressure gauge tube and reduce the risk of breakage. I only gave this item 4 stars due to the price which seems high for such a basic device and because the device I received was not in the clear plastic packaging as shown in the listing. Mine came in a plastic bag stapled to a paper liner in a clear plastic bag. This led me to believe that a gauge was sent to me which was returned and repackaged which I didn't appreciate as I paid full price. And the last problem was that when I sent it back, Revain wanted to retain the shipping cost. I had to call them and explain that I bought it on their recommendation and that the bin list doesn't say that the bin is already fitted with a pressure gauge. They agreed to refund my full purchase price but when I received the refund it didn't include shipping so now I have to call them back to get my shipping refund.
