Review on Chezmoi Collection Austin King Size Teal Oversized Bedspread Coverlet Set: 3-Piece by Jayson Sharma

Quality and price do not match.

THE COLORI ordered blue queen size. The color of this bedspread does not match the color shown in the ad. In fact, it's not even the color shown in MY photo. For some reason the color changes when captured digitally. I can hold my phone or tablet next to this spread on my screen and it's MUCH different. What I got is not the beautiful blue you see on the listing, but a BEAUTIFUL teal that reminds me of the color of the water on the Emerald Coast (Florida Panhandle). It was perfect because I'm going to be using a beach theme in my guest bedroom. SIZES ordered queen for my 10" queen mattress on a 16" metal frame for a total height of 26". It's a veil, meaning it reaches to the floor. I still use a bed skirt because I have storage space under a platform bed frame (one of those metal frames that sits higher and doubles as a box spring). However, the bed skirt is not suitable. Pillowcases fit a standard size pillow. MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP It is thin and stamped, not sewn and very light. It's labeled 100% polyester and feels like a brushed cotton blend. It doesn't scratch or snag. It arrived rumpled and crumpled. I expect wrinkles in something new, but it's very difficult to get the wrinkles out when making the bed. I've found that after 3 days of use by my first guests, it seems a little better now. Many other reviewers state that it doesn't wash well. l. I wish I had read that before buying (funny how these reviews can always be found AFTER I've placed my orders lol). So I will ask my guests to turn it off at night and cover themselves with a blanket when sleeping. There is a mistake in the piping right in the middle of the bodice where I fold it. It looks like a skipped seam but it's not, it's a raw edge, folded and not cut (see my 2nd photo). I'm afraid of cutting, so I'll cover it with decorative pillows. CORNERS mmm, well I personally think they should have been rounded because they protrude into an already small space, giving it an odd look and an opportunity to step on it. . So I hid them and secured them at a safe distance. I like this look better. I will post pictures so you can see what I mean. See photo 3-5, on the 3rd you can see its performance, on the 4th - pinned, on the 5th - the results. VALUEI think it's a little overpriced. I have another quilted bedspread that I paid the same price for, it is of much better quality, has real stitching and washes well.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
