Well not at all what I expected. First, the delivery was very fast and the packaging was safe. The item itself was larger than I expected which was a good surprise, the previous brand I bought was longer and thinner which is totally fine but it didn't have internal fans like these and didn't feel as durable on. This multiviewer has connections on both the front and the back. Inputs on one side and HDMI output on the other side with 2 extra USB ports, total 8 USB ports. I had no way of using the additional 2 ports to test printers and other devices. When an active HDMI cable is plugged into the port, the activity light glows without issue. Fast switching and excellent image quality even with Windows XP Dell I connected them to. The remote control is of good quality with a clean, professional look and feels good in the hand. The 4 USB cables that come with the device are well made, although I wish they were a little longer, but that's not a bad thing at all! The same applies to the power cord. I wish it was a few feet longer, but again, that's not a big deal. Communication between the main wireless keyboard and mouse with all 4 computers is responsive and smooth. Connected a remote touchscreen via Startech KVM and was able to use the keyboard and mouse, but the touchscreen function does not work. I will try to fix the touchscreen and make corrections to the review if necessary. All in all, functionally and optically a very professional device. Very happy with this device
