This pump is very good but I wouldn't call it 'the best'. We bought it to inflate air mattresses when camping. It's not as quick as the ones we've borrowed before, but obviously it was a lot quicker and easier than the hand pump. It was noisy but not a big deal unless you are in a tent and need to blow something up after dark as it might disturb your tent mates. The air release port is beautiful and convenient, along with adapters. The smaller size makes it a little more attractive for camping. For that reason alone I would recommend this pump.
