Works as intended. Holds my iPhone 6 well with case, doesn't slip. My only complaint is that it can take two hands to secure the phone in the holder. To close the side brackets, press the center button on the phone. However, when I push, the clip slips out of my opening, so I have to support it with one hand while pushing with the other. It is good if you put your phone in before travel. But in case you forgot, nothing you can do with one hand without getting seriously distracted while driving! (Unlike the magnet types which are easy to insert).
