Review on Summitlink V3 Case Dual Fans For Stratux ADS-B Kit Fits AHRS Module And GPYes (Tint) by David Pirlet

Revainrating 5 out of 5

ATTENTION! Slightly larger than the standard Stratux case!

This is my favorite Stratux build kit. I've built a few for myself or for friends. This fits all modules plus two fans and comes with all sorts of mounting options. BUT you should know that this is not a standard case. It will not mate with some accessories (such as the suction cup mount sold by Stratux) and will not mate with ADS-B antennas with cables less than 5 inches long (such as antennas sold by Stratux). The 978 antenna doesn't fit at all.) You'll need SummitLink USB radios and several different antennas. I recommend NooElec antennas with 6 inch cables (there will be an extra cable that you can hide in the case). Also, as some other reviewers have pointed out, it's not the strongest and thickest piece of plastic in the world. None of mine broke, but I didn't put much effort into putting them together either. Be a little careful not to break the tabs and such when you take it apart and put it back together. Finally, don't forget to install the tape! When I put them together I always seem to forget to put the strap in the case and then have to open everything back up to put the strap in there. The strap is really handy for attaching the battery to the Stratux. You can use small rubber feet to keep the battery away from the case so the battery doesn't heat up with the case.
