This kit contains most of the items needed to clean the glass and gravel in a 30 gallon aquarium. I have 2 tanks that I have used this on and the kit works well. I had to take my time cleaning it as moving it up and down can cause the pad to rotate on its edge. Side to side seems to work a little easier to keep the hinge from turning. I have an acrylic tank and as far as I know it doesn't damage the finish. But I will do that every time. The telescopic tube comes in handy for different sized aquariums, especially if my acrylic tank is against a wall, as it has a reinforcement at the top that doesn't move. If the handle wasn't adjustable in length, I wouldn't be able to reach the water's edge. The gravel suction works well but has a few minor issues. The small arrow indicates which direction the water will flow in the soft bulb. But when in place, it allows for some dripping from the hose connector. Either have a towel handy or position the dropper over the container. The second problem is that the hose was bent too much during transport, which caused the hose to be a bit kinked. If I don't force it open while using the kit, the water flow is too restrictive to pull things out of the gravel. Otherwise the set works very well and cleans very effectively.
