They will work, but not for hatchbacks I don't think.

They are as is, quick and easy to fit, hold the rear window well on my campervan roof. I can say with certainty that one side has lost a lot of holding power compared to the other. I don't think I would trust them with a heavy sunroof, but they hold camper glass pretty well.
