I wanted to connect my non-USB mic to a computer that doesn't have a mic input and was a little hesitant to try it. For $10, it claimed to do what some alternatives charge over $100 to do. But it worked! It requires a 3.5mm stereo jack and my microphone is mono (3.5mm mono jack). I used a mono to stereo adapter and it worked fine. I also tested the headphone jack, which worked well, but that wasn't my reason for buying it. This is a great alternative to some of the more expensive alternatives.
