I have previously purchased a headphone extension cable from Worlds Best Cables and have been very happy with it. I decided to "experiment" and bought a pair of 1 foot - Audiophile High Definition Audio Interconnect Cables. I use a desktop DAC and headphone amp with Sennheiser HD6XX and Beyerdynamics DT 1990 Pro headphones. The 6" connecting cable between the DAC and the headphone amp has always been satisfactory, I have used it in the past with no concerns about the cable's sound quality. The WBC cables arrived yesterday and I immediately replaced my existing cable with them. Initially I had Difficulty installing as this cable is very stiff and I don't have much room behind the DAC and amp A slight bend in the cable solved this problem and I plugged in my Sennheiser headphones first I've always been a bit of a curious skeptic, when it comes to audio differences between cables nothing more because immediately there was a very noticeable improvement in sound the sound is very difficult to describe but for me the bass has tightened and there is a definite improvement in the headphones now, the feel is more exciting and lively. The highs have become "brilliant" and more real, and the mids of the female vocals have now got "airiness" and become even more amazing. I've even listened to a few reggae albums and to be honest I'm very pleasantly surprised as the percussion and bass enhancements are much clearer and more immersive. To me, it's like I used to be listening through a very clean and clear window. This cable appears to have opened a window. Skepticism, at least with this cable, is very happily and strongly reduced with this system. Easily recommended!
