I think the best thing to say about this unit is that it is easy to fix in about 5-10 minutes. This cast assembly has a collar that fits over the fan motor shaft. The lower part of the collar is cut into 4 parts, which are crimped with a metal band. The block is installed by pressing FIRMLY onto the spindle so that the corrugated tape and plastic collar hold the spindle in place. There is no clamp to attach to the end of the spindle. You can use an old clip, but I doubt you'll need it. IMO it is slightly and definitely noticeably louder than the original fan assembly. The old blower seemed to have a better design. It had a flat edge on the inside of the collar that matched the flat end on the bottom of the spindle. A washer, similar to a locking clip, then held the top of the assembly to the spindle. I had to buy this because my flat part of the collar broke after 38 years of use. I'm not thrilled with this unit, but at less than $10, it's a lot cheaper than buying a new fan.
