"Smoke alarm goes off suddenly. I haven't installed it for a few months because it's for a child's room that isn't finished yet. I installed it about 3 weeks ago and it was fine for the first week. Then it went away with no sign of smoke. My wife had just changed a dirty diaper and we joked it was so bad the alarm went off. the battery even though it was new and thought it was over. A few days later it started again for no reason while I was on an important work visit. I put another new battery in. A few days later, our daughter has her first night alone in kindergarten. This is the 3rd time this has happened. No sign of smoke, but it looks like there's a fire burning right underneath. It's been 30 days so there's nothing we can do through Revain. I called First Alert and they said blow a can of compressed air into the detector and then blown vacuum. e is performed every 30 days. They also said to put this detector in another room and buy a new one for the kids room. For $7 I decided it wasn't worth arguing about. So it's not working and nothing has been done to fix it."
