Until I discovered this product I thought there was nothing that could hold my thick straight Asian hair all day. For example, the much-advertised Gatsby wax doesn't hold my hair, and the slightest gust of wind is enough to ruffle it completely. But with this lipstick, I can walk through a hurricane without a hair. I use it to give the classic look of a slick back. Note that this pomade is almost like a gel in the sense that it sets and dries out after you apply it to your hair. You need to apply water (a wet comb is enough) to change the hairstyle. On the plus side, this means no hairspray needed—your hair should "click" into place the way you styled it. On the other hand, you may find that they "flake" if you try to comb them too hard, especially when they are dry. You also need long enough hair to be able to comb it back properly - if your hair is too short, no product will do. to keep it in place. I would say your hair needs to be at least 3 inches long for this to really work. made me break out
