The driver's window on my 2001 Lexus LS430 would sometimes go up manually or automatically, but sometimes reversed and would go down more often when it was hot outside. Tried reset didn't help, all other windows worked fine. He removed the door panel, took out the controller and the motor. The governor appeared to be usable, so a new motor was installed. Thought it was properly "timed" but wasn't as it reversed itself in automatic mode, instead raising manually (by slightly pulling up the window switch). So I pulled it out again and reset it: removed the motor from the regulator and connected the car connector and power window switch. Press the switch to activate automatic mode and release. Run the engine until it stops. Then, in manual mode, pull the switch up and count six turns. Disconnect the motor, power it on and reinstall the motor on the controller (I installed the motor on the controller 9 teeth up (more spring tension). Motor and controller installed and tested before fully installing the door panel. Manually lowered windows and then raised all the way Tested automatic function both down and up worked fine Hope this can help someone.
