ok I've actually tried it and it seems to work just as well as any other mylar emergency blanket. The only difference and why should I choose this over other comforters? It's large compared to the competition (60" x 96") compared to the standard (50" x 80"). The only downside is that I feel like these blankets let through a lot of air - in general - so it's best to wrap someone in it. Even at 60 inches wide, you're going to have a hard time getting a person all the way into this thing. Despite this, it's still larger than most of its competitors. Mine has fingerprints on the orange side - like someone grabbed it too quickly while curing - but I don't think that's a problem. Would buy if I needed more of these.
