Review on πŸ“š Sennelier Urban Sketch Book by Morgan Gilmore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good thick card to paint and paint on with watercolors.

Good thick cardstock, works well with watercolors and other materials. It looks less polished than the Japanese Moleskine Art Plus albums, but that gives it more character, which I like. It's more like what you'd find in an eclectic store that few people know about than Moleskine, which is clearly mass-produced on a large scale. It has fewer panels than the Moleskine, but they are thicker (cardboard, not just paper). Sennelier cloth hardcovers don't have a spine connecting them, so it just unfolds when the covers fall apart, while Moleskine has a spine (you open it and pull out the paper, which can be a bit fiddly). but also more durable as it never relies on paper to hold the covers together). I will most likely be using both Sennelier and Moleskine in the future. For work that I want to show other people that doesn't need more panels/pages, I will definitely choose Sennelier. For personal sketches, exercises and anything that needs more pages I use Moleskine.
