Very easy to install especially if you have access to the attic. I installed the cameras on the ceiling so I just drilled a 1 inch hole in the ceiling and pushed the camera cable through and then screwed the camera in place. I put the unit in a closet to make it harder for thieves to find it, but I needed a monitor in my living room above my front door, so I bought a cheap closet monitor next to the unit for when I need to review recordings. I took a 60ft HDMI cable to run it from the closet to the monitor over the front door and added an HDMI splitter to keep both monitors active at the same time. The included CAT cables were more than long enough, and the camera's power also ran through the cable, so just a quick connection to the camera and device and you're good to go. I'm not connected to the internet yet (I need to run a cable from the modem to the device), but I will soon. Very happy with the system. The cameras have a good picture and face capture is a nice touch. It records audio on each camera but is only available on playback as far as I can tell, but that's fine. Face tracking doesn't seem to work very well with night vision, but the cameras do, so I don't see it as a real problem. I will buy it again for any future homes I buy. Update: I figured out how to play the audio live. You need to click on the sound icon on the screen to enable/disable the sound during live view. Audio will continue to be recorded for all playback cameras.
