Ideal for cleaning small makeup brushes. It easily cleans eye makeup brushes, concealer and small foundation brushes. However, when it comes to cleaning larger foundation, highlighter/blusher brushes with longer bristles, things get tricky. When larger brushes are in the water they meet a lot of resistance and get stuck a little, even stopping a few times. I followed the directions and made sure the brushes were in the right position, the big ones didn't come out as clean. With all of the brushes this has worked great to remove water from the brushes. Even if I hand wash large brushes with a mat, I will still use this to remove water. I'm thinking about putting another one in my brush workshop.
