Attach firmly - after removing my existing jackshaft it was very clear that it was a little loose and so was the bearing in the green bearing housing. removed the black rubber boot in the engine compartment, as well as the accelerator pedal and accelerator pedal support to make room. Inserting the new assembly was very tight - I installed the bearing using the old one and the pry bar - the old one broke very badly when used as a support to pry open the new one. I had an extra steering wheel angle sensor which I removed from the old block and did not install on the new block until the new one was fully installed (to avoid damage). bottom column - it was *very* tight. I was able to knock the old one out with a hammer, but couldn't hit the new one anywhere. I grabbed some vices and slid them out from under the column and was then able to hit the vice with a hammer to drive the shaft into the bottom shaft. The steering is absolutely rocking now, no noise, no worries. Trembling on gravel roads
