TAKE THEM! THEY WILL CHANGE THE FUNCTION OF YOUR MACHINE!

I needed new filters because I only washed them on Dyson's advice. However, I felt like my suction power was low and it ended up draining my battery. Well after changing the Dyson battery because my V8 is only 11 months old I decided to get new filters. These things are amazing. My Dyson works like new!
