Purchased this cable while setting up a home office during the pandemic. The cable used to connect the Dell D6000 USB-C Dock to an Asus router in another room. The thin profile of the cable was very comfortable and easy to set up by using glue sticks to hold the cable in place, and the whole thing took less than an hour to set up. Speed tests showed around 700-800Mbps down and 800-900Mbps up, since the cable is connected to the router and docking station it has rarely been touched except for the last year. I've recently started noticing slow internet and thought it was my laptop, my job recently replaced my HP with a new Dell and I was still having the same problem. I've spent hours with my cable provider and found that I can't get over 90Mbps when connected to my docking station, but I can get over 700Mbps when using wireless. When troubleshooting, found that if I use a different cable connecting the router and docking station, I get a 1.0 Gbps LAN connection on the laptop, but the laptop only connects to 100 Mbit/s with this cable. I switched to a different cable a few weeks ago and it has been connecting at 1.0 Gbps every time since. I'm not sure when the cable failed, but on the high side it could last about 10 months and it's absolutely not worth the money or time.
