Installation can be a bit tricky. When installing, you need to glue the inner corner of the tread first. Hold the release liner with your thumbs pressing on the outer tip of the corner and your index fingers holding the flat triangular side up and away from the table surface so the sticky inside of the release liner doesn't come into contact with anything first before you touch it glue the corner. Once you make contact, continue to apply pressure to that outer corner, smoothing out any air bubbles on the top and sides of the tread. I know this may sound a little tricky, just play around with the tread before removing the protective adhesive covers before installing. They work great.
