It works as intended.
This product operates with a multi-layer household lubricant. It has no chemical odor and does not irritate the skin. Also safe to use on painted surfaces. However, multiple applications are required to remove all of the fat. I don't think it will work with baked fat like an oven would. But for cleaning countertops and shelves, it's just about perfect.
