So very late one night about a month ago we had a skunk smell in our basement and it happened the same day we were installing a new natural gas heater. Obviously we know the difference between a skunk smell and a gas smell but we got a little scared thinking it might be gas and the gas company came at 1am to tell us it was just a skunk. In any case, I ordered this device right after the incident so we can avoid all the madness in the future. It took this little guy a minute to figure out how to use it because the husband refused to read the instructions. We've found that it "warms up" in a matter of seconds and then starts to work. The device seems to work properly and definitely doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. Overall, while it's not something you'll use often, I think it's a great item to have around the house if you have gas installed. God saves the man who saves himself.
