We used to use ones that required you to reach out and push down. My 1 year old opened a door and then broke his fingers on it 80% of the time. I'm sick of this, so here we have this. I like these magnetic locks because they keep the door completely closed. No more pinched fingers! It's also really nice that you can just disable the lock and open the cupboards like you normally would when the kids aren't around. Then simply press the switch to lock them again when the kids are around again. It took a little time to set them up and align them. But now that they are, they're great.
