For sealing the gas lines of a flow heater. 2-4 turns around the thread made the seat nice and tight! It's been a few months since I installed it myself and I haven't smelled any gas or an explosion, so it's obviously working. Before you try to do anything on the gas lines, do your homework! I've never done anything with gas before and did a lot of research before attempting to disassemble and reassemble the lines. Be smart kids!
