It fits like a glove
If you watch an installation video you'll find that you have to bend and stretch to pull the original out. Well, inserting a new one works the same way. The trick is to pinch the sides to shorten them by a "pinch". Insert the top and then slide the bottom past the edge of the bottom lip which is about 1 inch, you can actually see it. Once you've done that, just wiggle it in place. Release the cover and reinsert the retaining screw. if the last person to change your filter ever put it back in.
