Review on Smoke LED High Mount Rear Cargo Lamp Third Brake Light for 2004-2008 Ford F150, 2007-2010 Ford Explorer, and 2006-2008 Lincoln Mark LT by Nick Nunez

Installed on my 2007 F150. It was a direct fit and used factory wiring. It came with a large gasket that appeared to be in two parts. However, there was no indication of which pad to use. I used a large spacer that sealed the perimeter of the light. The new flashlight looks great with the smoke lens. However, this lantern has a significant design flaw. The 12 charging LEDs do not indicate the charging area. At night I turn on the truck light that is supposed to shine into the back of the truck so I can see it at night. This light does not shine in the bed at all. It shines on the edge of the back door and above the truck bed, and loses itself in the road behind the truck. I see a shiny pattern on my bedspread and it's not very well designed. The red brake light is ugly with a unique design, but it's also not very bright and is hidden by the taillights when braking. So I have a new canopy that looks great, but I don't have an efficient truck bed. The light is larger than the supplied OEM unit.
